Reversible MT-Propellers

Reversible Propeller for Propeller Turbines (Standard Systems)

Our reversible propellers for propeller turbines are hydraulically controlled constant speed propellers with our standard reverse systems installed:

  • Reverse -P: for Pratt & Whitney Turbines
  • Reverse -G: for Honeywell TPE331 Turbines
  • Reverse -A: for Roll Royce Turbines
  • Reverse -W: for Walter Turbines
  • Reverse -GE: for GE Catalyst Turbines

These reverse systems are using the standard engine interface for the reverse actuation and the propeller control.

They can be built with any number of blades like our conventional hydraulic constant speed propeller and can optionally be equipped with electric or alcohol de-ice boots.

The single piece hub is made from forged or solid aerospace aluminum alloy. It is corrosion protected and the hub's outside.

Presently most of our blades are built in natural composite design.

An aluminum blade ferrule is attached to the blade root by using special design patented lag screws.

The spinner dome is a single piece part made from fiber reinforced composite (Kevlar®).
It is extremely crack resistant as well as very light weighted and are also available with chrome finish.

Reversible Propeller for Piston Engines and Propeller Turbines (Reverse System -M)
in case no blade angle feedback is possible between propeller and governor

Our reversible propellers for piston engines and propeller turbines are hydraulically controlled constant speed propellers with the patented MT-Propeller reverse dual piston system and our P-900 governor series installed. (Reverse System -M = Muehlbauer).

The reverse -M system controls directly from forward blade angle to a full preset reverse blade angle. No intermediate below in flight blade angles are available. A safety lockout mechanism is installed in the system, prohibiting reverse above a certain propeller rpm. This limits the possibility of using this reverse system for shortening landing distances.

They are preferred for a better maneuverability of seaplanes or airships.

They can be built with any number of blades like our conventional hydraulic constant speed propeller and can optionally be equipped with electric or alcohol de-ice boots.

The single piece hub is made from forged or solid aerospace aluminum alloy. It is corrosion protected and the hub's outside can be additionally painted for sea applications.
